base meshes in max, stones sculpted in Zbrush, then brought back to max, baked down, and textured in photoshop.

I really like how you got the earth and rubble backfill inside the wall right. Seems like most environment artists blow that. Your UV layout looks real good, too. I'd love to see this incorporated into a level.

haha, thanks! Not everything needs to be sculpted though, sub-d modeling can be less messy for certain things. This was really an experiment, which I'm actually considering redoing via a different approach.

its a really effective normal map though. like paralax mapped. crazybump is good too, but needs excellent diffuse for the generation
